Khay Baccam is an evangelist working among the Lao immigrants, nearly all of whom are Buddhist.  Khay nurtures converts in the faith through home Bible studies in Iowa, Nebraska, and Minnesota.  Through his work, Laotian CRCs have been established in Worthington, MN and Sioux City Iowa.  Khay receives no support from his in-home Bible study groups, he relies entirely on offerings for his support.

Keo Phommarath is an evangelist serving the Lao Unity Church in Sioux City, Iowa.  This congregation is made up of Lao-speaking adults, and approximately 20 Lao young people.  A successful VBS program brings around 30 children to Lao Unity for a week of Bible Study and fun.  The vast majority of children who attend Lao Unity or VBS do so even though their parents are practicing Buddhists and do not attend.  Keo’s standing in the Lao community helps him to gain the parents confidence.
